Veterans | Post 9/11 Veteran Service Bonus 06/23/22 - IAFF Local 21
The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) has a long history of awarding service bonuses to Minnesota Veterans who served in America’s wars. Starting in 1919 after World War I, through World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, and now the Global War on Terrorism. MDVA recognizes the sacrifices and courage Minnesotans took to defend our country.
Fight For Air Climb 06/22/22 - Suncoast Firefighters
Members from West Manatee Fire took to the steps of Raymond James Stadium to raise funds for the American Lung Association. Aaron Reese, Clayton Lease, Frank Agresta, Robert Haygood and Max Pollock along with other area firefighters; dressed in full gear maneuvered 1,377 steps each to promote awareness for the millions of Americans affected by lung disease.

Graduation of SPFD Recruit Class 2022 - A 06/17/22 - IAFF Local 21
Saint Paul Firefighters IAFF Local 21 is proud to announce that our 21 newest members will be hitting the streets, some reporting for duty as early as 0800 hours tomorrow morning. Their graduation is some much needed relief to our frontline that are responding to a record-breaking number of calls for service every day.

Roy Reed Funeral 06/17/22 - Kansas State Council of Fire Fighters
Roy Reed passed away on June 15th. His services will be held on June 22nd at Porters Funeral Home in Lenexa. Visitation starts at 0930 and ends at 1030. The funeral will follow. The funeral home is at 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa Kansas.

The County Chapter Non-Recurring Compensation MOU was approved, pursuant to Article II, Section 2 Contract Vote/Ratification & Section 4 Memorandums of Understanding of the Constitution & Bylaws at the Special Meeting which was held on June 13, 2022. The signed Non-Recurring Compensation MOU can be viewed in the member’s area under the 'Contracts' tab.

2022 MDA Fill the Boot 06/11/22 - Newport News Firefighter's Association
2022 Fill the Boot dates will be September 16, 17, & 18th!!! 0900-1700!!
This will be over a fri, sat, Sunday and will be at the previous 2 locations (Tech Center and Jefferson Commons).
We are working on partnering with NNFD again this year, and are looking for committed volunteers to help run the two sites each day. Please contact Sam Johnson with any questions or to volunteer.
Windridge Cir. Structure Fire 06/09/22 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
Wednesday, June 8, 2022 – 7:19 p.m., Local members were dispatched to a home, near E. Wildcat Reserve Pkwy and Poston Pkwy in Littleton, after a resident saw a fire in their neighbor’s backyard. Initial 9-1-1 callers thought the fire was coming from a grill and could be extending towards the home.
2022 | Frontline Worker Pay Applications Are Now Open 06/09/22 - IAFF Local 21
The Frontline Worker Pay application is now open! The application will be open from June 8 through July 22, 2022. Eligible workers will have 45 days to apply for Frontline Worker Pay. The 45-day application period will be followed by a 15-day period to allow for appeals from those whose applications were denied.
The Connecticut Essential Workers COVID-19 Assistance Fund 06/07/22 - UPFFA
The Connecticut Essential Workers COVID-19 Assistance Fund, authorized by the legislature last year, was launched in January to help ease the financial burden for essential workers who lived in Connecticut, contracted COVID-19, became ill and were unable to work, or died, between March 10, 2020 and July 20, 2021.

Wolhurst Structure Fire 06/04/22 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
Friday, June 3, 2022 - Just after 4 a.m., Local members responded to multiple reports of a mobile home fire near C-470 and Santa Fe in Littleton. Upon arrival, members found heavy fire conditions and had concerns that the fire may have extended towards neighboring homes. Members quickly pulled hose lines for fire attack while simultaneously searching the home for any people that may be trapped.
